counseling, and consultation are offered for individuals and couples.
Growth
Therapy (Individuals and Couples)
This therapy is used by people who are generally doing well; it
may appear they don't need therapy, but they sense something is
not quite right. These individuals, with their desire for richness,
color, and satisfaction, instinctively know there can be more to
life more satisfaction, more happiness, more success, more
love, more peace.
Crisis
Intervention (Individuals and Couples)
Many people find psychotherapy can reduce both the intensity and
duration of discomfort and the potential for emotional scaring which
follows dramatic life changes such as divorce, separation, death,
health or money problems, moves, career changes, etc.
Maintenance
Therapy (Individuals)
A few individuals seem to require on-going support from a therapist
to maintain an acceptable level of functioning. These people usually
require medications for disorders such as schizophrenia and severe
mood disturbances including bipolar disorder.
Problem
Solving Therapy (Individuals and Couples)
Sometimes specific problems or dilemmas may be unresponsive to our
best efforts. Most frequently these situations involve interactions
with others, interactions within a couple, repeating patterns, and/or
particularly difficult decisions. Many find it helpful to consult
a professional for a few sessions at these times.
Relationship
workshops are offered for single people and couples. Special
GAY and lesbian sections are available.
